I will only say this - the meal was clobbered. The entire family ate from both sides of the menu and I have to say that there was a strange complimentary feeling about having fried chicken and macaroni and cheese against Korean soup and spicy pork. We started in America and finished in Korea, and ended up with our desserts back in America. It was great fun, great meal with lots of laughter.
Happy Birthday Mom and Daughter #1! I love you!

Happy birthday to MIL and Daughter #1! This meal reminds me of a lot of the meals we had in our house while I was growing up - especially during the holidays like Thanksgiving.
Hi Joanne, I stumbled upon your blog while food blog surfing one day. I've tried your braised short ribs recipe and it was delicious! My question is if you have a recipe for spicy braised short ribs. My husband and I had it at a Korean restaurant and I tried to find a recipe online but without much luck. Please let me know. Thanks!!
Hi Suzie -
Blogger was down for a few days so I couldn't respond to your query. I don't have a spicy braised short ribs - I have a spicy braised chicken - and I'm wondering if that would be a decent substitute....otherwise give me some time and I'll try and figure out what it is.
Great, thank you! In the meantime, I will try your spicy chicken recipe. Much appreciated.
