Blog Giveaway: Beautiful prints

Dear Reader,

I apologize for my delayed response to your repeated queries.  I have been away from my desk, unable to write as I have been entertaining out-of-town guests and have spent a bit of time away from my own home.  But no matter.  I have returned, in good health and in good spirits.

AND WITH AN AWESOME GIVEAWAY!!!!  (that whole restrained writing style, just really isn't me.)

The excellent caring folks at Easy Canvas Prints gave me the opportunity to order a canvas print of one of my photographs.  I thought, hey why not, and spent a few hours trying to decide WHICH print I would use.  After much mulling and decision making I chose one that I thought fit our house the best.

This is one of our family's favorite dishes, and I loved the vibrant red kimchi against the cool white tofu.  It also fits my kitchen pretty well, which is just plain under-decorated 1969 style.   I hung it on the wall in a space near the window and it looks like this.  (yes that is gold trim on the window.  Like I said, 1969.)

I love the way my food looks on this canvas.  I love how vibrant the colors are and I just love that I've hung something of mine on my wall.  It's like a mini-celebration of my blog.  I have to say - it feels pretty good.  And the other day, Son walked by and said, "Mom.  I want to eat THAT."  I'd say that was high praise.  Ordering the canvas after I actually figured out my picture took moments and it was at my house faster than I had expected.  I love it so much that I'm thinking of creating a wall of a few of my favorite prints from the blog, or perhaps an arrangement that covers appetizers, main course and dessert.  Haven't quite figured it out yet.  But in the meanwhile...

YOU, my dear reader, can have one of these.  Easy Canvas Prints is allowing me to give one lucky winner an 8X10 canvas print.  You can upload any picture of your own choosing (like a fantastic family portrait or a sexy boudoir portrait of yourself that you can stick in the closet for your husband or wife to ogle)  OR I will make available to you any of the photos on my blog for your use.  (I'll help you edit and send you a highly polished copy.)    So what do you need to do to enter?

Canvas Print Blog Giveaway

To enter to win an 8X10 canvas print from Easy Canvas Prints, you MUST do the following.  Leave a comment below telling me what photograph from my blog you might want to have on a print.  Don't worry.  I won't hold you to it should you win.  This is purely for selfish reasons so I can see what other photographs I might use for my next print. (Please leave me some way of knowing who you are so that I can contact you if you win.)

For an extra entry - Facebook!
You can have an extra entry if you like Easy Canvas Prints facebook page.  Like the page and leave a comment below telling me that you have liked the page.  In addition, liking the page also gives you a special 50% discount and free shipping on a canvas print.  (I'm planning on my next print coming from THAT.)

A winner will be chosen at random on SUNDAY, August 21 at midnight.
(I am a former high school English Teacher, so I am bit of a stickler for rules. Entries which do not follow the instructions will be disqualified.)  Due to shipping restrictions, this giveaway is only available to the 48 contiguous states.  (Those of you in Hawaii and Alaska, I apologize, but if you can send it to one of the 48 contiguous states, you're welcome to enter.)

Great picture of kimchi w/ tofu! It's cute that your son tells you he wants to eat it by pointing to it.

It's tough to pick one, but I love your strawberry cupcakes. I made it once and it was hard to get it all pretty pipped like you did. ;-)

Thanks for this giveaway!

Great picture choice with the kimchee/tofu! It's hard to choose the next one since you have a lot of good options, but I finally settled on the Korean roasted potatoes: http://weekofmenus.blogspot.com/2009/10/korean-style-roasted-potatoes.html

It's hard to choose just one because most of your pictures are amazing and drool worthy. I always love the pictures of the desserts. I would definitely choose the peach cupcakes with the peach frosting or the blueberry cupcakes with the blueberry frosting. The colors are incredible and they are so perfect.

So many choices! If I had to choose right now, it would be the caprese crostini (the closeup of the four). Just looking at it makes me drool and want to run out and buy the ingredients or even hop on a plane and visit u for the original!
